Summary: Noticing that Ryutaro seemed down after a hard day of practice, Yabu goes over to him to try and help, that’s what big brother’s do right. A reluctant Ryutaro gives Yabu no inclination of what is wrong, so Yabu reminds him that he’s always there, any time and day.
Hey! Say! JUMP had finished practice for the day and nine of the ten members, still buzzing from the hard practice, were talkative and ready for more work. The only person who really wasn’t in the mood for anything other than going home to bed was the youngest, Ryutaro Morimoto. Feeling down because he was the one who caused many of the mistakes for that day, he stayed quiet and alone in the corner. Usually if he was down about something he’d play his DS no matter which game he had with him, but today it just wasn’t his day. The battery was dead, no thanks to his younger brother Shintaro, and he was stuck waiting for at least another hour waiting for his brother so they could go home together.
“You okay Ryutaro?” Yabu asked coming over to him. The other members hadn’t noticed him at all and had actually started dispersing from the room. All that was left was Yabu, himself, Inoo, Hikaru and Daiki, but the three of them were in such a deep conversation that it wouldn’t have mattered if there were fireworks in front of them, they wouldn’t have noticed.
“Yeah I’m fine, bored is all,” Ryutaro tried to keep it cool though it was quite obvious that something was bothering him.
But Yabu wasn’t convinced, “Do you want to talk about it? It may help, give you some escape? Maybe some peace of mind.”
“I’m fine, honestly.”
“Alright,” Yabu said whilst giving him a look of disbelief, “Well if you need me, give me a ring alright, I’ll be there.”
“I know, any time of day you’ll help us, whether we wake dripping in sweat and we need to scream it out, you’ll listen but honestly I’m fine.”
“Then maybe you need to let it out because you’re thinking too much.”
“No, just over analyzing.”
“Analyzing what exactly?”
“Nothing important.”
“C’mon, you can tell me. Is there too much pressure on you? Especially now that your brother is moving up in the unofficial ranks of the juniors? Do you feel that you need to be better?”
“I have no idea where you got that from Yabu-kun, but thanks for putting it in my head, I though you were supposed to be good at giving advice, not making people feel worse about themselves.”
“I’m sorry for that, but I must have hit some nerve in you, are you sure you’re fine? WE can talk privately if you want, it’s not a big deal and I know you have to wait for Shintaro before you can leave so it’s not like I’m taking you from anything. C’mon just tell me so I can help.”
“I think you’ve helped enough.” Ryutaro said and quickly left the room.
“What was that all about Ko-chan?” Inoo asked almost immediately after the door shut.
“Something is wrong with him but he doesn’t want to share. I think it may be a lot of pressure on him due to his brother’s new successes but I don’t know and he’s not sharing.”
“Maybe he just needs time,” Daiki said softly.
“Or maybe there really isn’t anything wrong with him,” Hikaru added quickly, “though he could be down because he kept messing up today.”
“Which could be because of the amount of pressure that is building on him, maybe he just doesn’t know how to talk it out, I mean he is a good dancer and usually catches on right away but today he seemed off,” Inoo replied.
“Could be” Yabu answered.
“Let’s go home; we’ll see how he is tomorrow.” Hikaru suggested. The others agreed but not before Yabu sent a quick mail to their good buddy Ryutaro.
I’m sorry if I hit a nerve.
I was only trying to help.
If you do need to talk or find some escape.
You’re not alone, I’ll be there.

Author's Note: Here's number 2 of 5 !!! I hope you like this one, It was kind of hard for me to right, hits really close to home. Though none of you will actually understand the circumstances or which person's actions in the story reflect somehting close to me, but i quite enjoyed it and it brought up some interesting things to think about. Please leave comments and criticisms for me to read, they help, especially since I'm not sure anymore on my writing ability.
