Summary: Even though BEST tried their hardest to keep 7 from finding out Yabu’s secret, they didn’t do a very good job. Either by unconsciously checking or downright, full on looking. BEST kept 7 wondering about their new behaviours and it’s all because of Yabu?
Authors Note: This story is a sequel to my latest Multi-Chapter story “He Needs to Know”, and a side story/sequel to the sequel “Why their Dinner Burned” it may make more sense if you have read those two first, but this story will stand by itself as well. As usual, thanks to my betas

Chapter 10: And to Make Things Worse!
The four boys had to leave soon after Takaki had woken up and talked to Inoo. He caught Inoo up on the situation with 7 and that once Yabu was able to move back to a hospital closer to home that they too would have to go back to normal and act as if Yabu was just sick. 7 already know their excuses and the rest of them would learn it once they too were back, they were able to stay down here until Yabu was able to come back, courtesy of Johnny-san.
They moved into the hotel room and noticed that there were only two beds, which meant they would be sharing. This of course made Yuto happy; he got to sleep with Daiki without actually sleeping with Daiki. It was decided, much to the dismay of Yuto, since there were lovers in the room, they would sleep separately just to make sure that nothing would go on. Yuto was not happy so he went on the balcony and pouted into the crisp evening.
“Yuto don’t be like that, were you seriously thinking of doing something in this situation?”
Yuto just looked at Daiki.
“Horn dog,” Daiki smiled. Yuto smiled in response and then Daiki wrapped his arms around the taller boy. “But you’re my horn dog, so thank-you.”
“You’re welcome,” Yuto said while still facing outward but he quickly turned so he was facing Daiki. He said nothing else but leaned down and captured Daiki’s lips with his own. They shared a sweet and passionate kiss until an interrupting cough broke them out of their momentary bliss.
“Was that really necessary?” Daiki said looking at their two band mates in the doorway.
“You were taking too long to go tell him to come to dinner so we took a look and there you were….we can’t do that to our own boyfriends so it is best that if you can’t either,” Takaki said, “Besides, our cell phones probably need to be turned on, the inbox is probably full of emails from the others.”
“Johnny-san should have told them by now,” Hikaru added.
The four of them got out their cell phones, and at the same time turned them on. Just as Takaki predicted each of their inboxes were full, flooded with emails from the juniors and the last four members of JUMP wonder what was going on. Takaki had about 40 missed calls, Hikaru had about 60, Yuto had about 20 and Daiki had about 30. “We should probably answer these,” Daiki said as he watched another message be sent to his phone. He was talking to himself since Yuto, Takaki, and Hikaru were already frantically typing away at their phones. “Let’s go to dinner ne? We can do this there,” Daiki said, the three of them looked up and nodded. Together they wordlessly left the room, heading for the small restaurant that was adjacent to the hotel.
They quickly ordered and then sat down and frantically typed some more. They had to reassure everybody that everything was okay and that they were all safe. They could tell Yamada, Keito Chinen and Ryutaro the truth though, but everyone else…was a no. They needed the quarter truth, which was half of the half truth. The half truth was something that Hikaru, Takaki, and Yuto knew on the other hand, the full truth was something that only Daiki knew, and this truth was something that he was not willing to share.

“Sensei?” Inoo said sitting up in his bed. The doctor was shocked at the fresh bruise on his face but he said nothing about it and went about on his typical routine of checking the patient.
“Yes Inoo-kun?” the doctor asked.
It was now or never. He’d take the truth. He needed to know; now it was time. “Can you please tell me something with Yabu-kun?”
“What would that be?” the doctor asked. Was it time? He thought to himself. He could tell a patient the truth especially of another patient. The doctor was well aware of the relationship between the two of them but he did not want to share it with this one. He had only shared the truth with Dai-chan because Daiki was strong at the time; he was able to handle it. Inoo on the other hand was not, the truth really affected Daiki, it brought him down in hope and it was something that he shouldn’t have been told.
“Where are Yabu’s parents?” Inoo asked simply. He was going to subtly get into the truth. Being a master liar, Inoo could tell when someone was trying to fool him with a false truth, or a half truth. He had only not caught it before because of his illness.
The doctor was taken a back; he was not expecting this question. “They are at their house.”
“Why aren’t they here? Isn’t it customary and procedure for that matter, for the parents to be called and have them come down when their child is in the hospital?”
“Your director asked them to stay there as to not create more media attention. Your agency is brushing it off as if Yabu-kun had gotten the flu while he’s down here. If Yabu-kun’s parents came down here, for a simple flu, the media would have a field day and start digging deeper into the truth, you wouldn’t want that now would you?”
“But, do they know at least?”
“Yes, they are well aware of their son’s condition; your director is keeping them well informed of the situation.”
“What situation? Inoo asked, “You said he’d be all better once he woke up.”
“Yes, I did say that and it is true.” The doctor paused and looked like he was thinking about something.
“But~” Inoo offered. There was always a but.
“But waking him up is something he has to do himself,” he said. He was trying to swing the truth into a lighter tone so that the boy wouldn’t go into shock.
“What are you saying? He’s fighting waking up?” Inoo asked the doctor, and then it dawned on him, “he should have already been awake shouldn’t he?”
‘This boy was smart,’ the doctor thought, he couldn’t say anything. He needed the boy to come to his own conclusions.
“Yabu-kun, doesn’t want to wake up does he?”
“No he does, his body doesn’t,” the doctor said simply. “He should have been awake this afternoon but as you can see he isn’t and it is well past the afternoon. I’m sorry that I have to be the one to tell you this but” the doctor paused, it was now or never, “if Yabu-kun doesn’t wake up tonight, he may not wake up at all.”
And that was it. That was the last thing that Inoo heard before he no longer heard anything.
“Inoo-kun?” the doctor asked shocked. “Inoo-kun!” he watched as the boy fell into his bed back into the unconscious state that he was in, not 4 hours prior. He had called in some nurses to set those machines back up that were currently taken down since he no longer needed them and set about to work re-doing paperwork and calling the director to tell him the news. The doctor, after a long one hour conversation, more like scolding from Johnny-san did the first thing he could think of other than his routine. He stupidly called Daiki. Daiki had left his cell phone number with the doctor just in case something else had happened.
~~~~~~
“Moshi-moshi?” a sleepy Daiki said into the phone, it had not stopped ringing in two hours and he was quite tried.
“Konbawa Arioka-kun,” the doctor said into the phone. Daiki’s eyes widened but he made sure that the other three were immersed in their phones before going out on to the balcony to talk to the doctor.
“Sensei? Did something happen?”
“Yes.”
“What happened?” Daiki asked shocked. Why was it getting worse? Shouldn’t it be getting better? “Don’t tell me it happened?” Daiki asked referring to the full truth.
“No, but Inoo-kun figured it out and fell back into his unconscious state his temperature sky-rocketed and he is back into the state that he was early this morning.”
“WHAT!?” Daiki screamed loudly, causing the other three to look up from their phones. “Why in the world would you tell him that!? I don’t mean to be rude but are you an idiot? Why in the world would you tell a patient that!? Let alone him! Do you even realize their relationship! You are so very very lucky that, that was the only thing that happened!”
Daiki was screaming into the phone, it was scary, none of them had seen such a scary Daiki before. Yuto got up from where he stood and walked out onto the balcony. He wrestled the phone away from Daiki and handed it to Takaki who was right behind him. Together Hikaru and Yuto held Daiki down and calmed him down.
“Moshi-moshi?” Takaki said into the phone “Oh sensei, what’s wrong? Sorry about Daiki-kun, he sort of blew up at you~” Takaki paused; he was covering the speaker so they couldn’t hear what the doctor was saying. “What?” he took another pause to let the doctor speak. “No, way, are you serious? Again? Poor Inoo.” And again another pause. “Alright. We will see you in the morning. Yes bright and early.” Takaki hung up the phone and watched as Daiki struggled against the two stronger boys. “Inoo’s unconscious once again, apparently his conscious state was only temporary, a side-effect of the bacteria, but he should be fine tomorrow.”
At the same time Hikaru and Yuto let go of Daiki and stared at Takaki, dumbfounded by what he just said. Hikaru looked at his hand in complete guilt. He had yet to see Inoo since the smacking but he still felt really guilty for it. Hikaru wordlessly got up from the ground and faltered into the room; he used the door for support and collapsed on the first bed he could reach. Takaki trailed after him to comfort him, he was shocked as well but he was able to hide it.
Yuto just stayed where he was, as did Daiki since Yuto was still over top of him. He was shocked, Hikaru was this affected by their friend. Yuto knew that Hikaru was feeling overly guilty about it. After a couple minutes Yuto got up walked inside and threw his arms around the older boys. Daiki got up from the ground and watched the three of them hug each other, trying to calm the other down and cheer the other up, it wasn’t going to work. They don’t know the full truth and they weren’t going to.
Author's Note: Guess What! I've updated...Yup in the middle of two midterms which I should be studying hard for I decided to update. Yup I'm procrastinating....but its Canadian Politics so it's bleh....actually it's Canadian Social Work...but it is basically the same thing. So yeah there is Chapter 10. Hope you enjoyed it. sorry it is so short, it was only about 4 pages on my word processor but that was becasue there were only a few things that needed to be stated in this chapter. Chapter 11 will be much longer, proabably as long as Chapter 8 or Chapter 9...That should be up soon...once I have time to sit down and actually write it...probably thursday I'll have time to write it, until then I do not know. Thanks for reading and please remember the 3C's Comments are appreciated. Confetti = love and Crticism is like oxygen, I need it. Don't be afraid to be harsh, I'm a big girl, I can take it.
