Guys, I started
a wiki. In the vein of fifty billion other wikis to be found on
Wikia, this is intended not for literary discussion but as a reference guide to Sutcliffverse, for the benefit, I hope, of fanwork. Need to know everything that's ever happened and will happen at Trimontium, or who else has been named Cordaella, or where you can cross over with that other book? We've got this.
...Sort of. The current contents of the wiki are a handful of incompletely-populated maybe-someday-this-will-be-a-real-indexes and a couple of example articles. Also important to note: I don't know how to organise a wiki. SUTCLIFF WIKI NEEDS YOU.
I'm not asking anyone to make this a project in itself, but I'm hoping that those of you who do research for your fic and art will use the wiki as a repository of canonical facts and relevant historical research. If you timelined your novel for sutcliff_swap, or drew up a family tree, or mapped out someone's farm, or found a historical source, or tracked the uses of a motif, or possess a useful collection of links - post it. (Or post it here and give me permission to copy it there.) You don't even need a Wikia account.
The main axes of the wiki, at the moment, are
people,
places,
ethnic groups, and
works (go see if I've left out your favourite character! Perhaps you'd consider writing a stub for one of those forlorn non-links!) but I'll be pleased with any sort of contribution, and I certainly won't be policing subject, format, or completeness at this zygotic stage. (Look! I didn't even really finish my own
sample articles!) And, seriously, if you know how to make navigation work: there is no one steering the ship right now.
As always, comments, questions, "this is doomed here's how to fix it" welcome.
