In addition to being a Rosemary Sutcliff fan, I'm an anime/manga addict and burgeoning Japanophile. I'm subscribed to
takarazuka, the LiveJournal community devoted to Takarazuka: a Japanese theatrical movement started in 1914 that, for nearly a century, has been staging elaborate performances with casts composed exclusively of women. (More history available in the

I don't know anything further about this, but thought folks might be interested to hear of it. I wish they'd do Knight's Fee or Simon or The Eagle of the Ninth...
