PATRICK WOLF LUPERCALIA YAYFOR!!!! I can't wait for him to tour in the states, I CAN'T WAIT!!! I have pretty much been waiting for him to come back since two years ago..when I found out about his music RIGHT AFTER HE LEFT NYC! So I'm super excited because I figure, new album= new stateside tour, yes?
i'm glad the chips fell where they did and now you are writing legit gay lovesongs. ahahahahha Right? RIGHT??? This whole album is pretty much the most adorkable thing that ever happened. I'm totally with you on on not every song grabbing me immediately, but they get you slowly, and then it's like BAM! Catchiest thing ever!
I'm so happy you like The City too! I'm borderline obsessed with that one, but I think most people write it off as cheese-tastic, but it's totally how I felt when I lived in NYC. Every line. AND I VERY MUCH AGREE ABOUT THE FALCONS. EVERYTHING IS LOOKING UP UP UP!!!
hahah sorry to be such a lurker on here, and then spam your comments out of the blue! But I do love gushing about PWolf :)
IT IS COOL, ALL LURKERS SHOULD DELURK FOR A MASSIVE PWOLF LOVEFEST. I AM FOR THIS!
Gdi, I hope he does come back. It looks like he is doing massive European tours and Canadia and the States are maybe sol AS ALWAYS, but I had to miss his last show here and I NEED HIM TO COME BACK. You know, to complete my life or something.
Also! So glad you like "The City"! When he did the video, people were all up on youtube like "THIS IS SO REPETITIVE, HE SOLD OUT, HIS EARLY STUFF WAS WAY BETTER!!!" and I was like "lol, have y'all never heard 'Bloodbeat'?" Because yeah. Idgaf, "The City" is awesome forever, and I love pop music, and that song basically got me through winter. Fuck yeah, Patrick Wolf! By the same token, I really don't think it's actually possible to write love songs without being at least a little cheesy. Like is "I love the curling of your hair" kind of sappy? Yeah, probably. BUT I DON'T CARE, IT IS KIND OF MY FAVORITE LINE IN THAT SONG, IDK WHY, IT IS JUST THE WAY HE SAYS IT.
