Zee beat me to it, and with the same phrase I would have used. But if a band has aspirations of being professional - in deed, if not actual act - you can't do stuff like that. You know this, of course, but sad that they didn't. A band that wants to work means the other members (and their spouses, etc.) are simply off limits. That's what bangin' groupies are for, or finding someone just like 'band member x' outside of the band to cheat with is for. But the pros keep their pants on.
The best thing here is that it could provide fuel for a new song - think Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" where you say "hey, guys, I wrote a new song. Let's develop this!" and then lyrically, when they're paying attention, they realize it's about a horrible relationship gone bad and how it hurt a group - the guilty will think "hey! that's about me!" and it's only because they're guilty. ;) The rest will hear a song about treachery and tomfoolery and loss, and apply it how they may.

But it sucks that you've found a good niche for the band and the vibe that you've been looking for - until this happened. If this group continues on and works it out, leaving you out of the dramatic parts, that'd be cool. If not, the next band you audition for, you blow 'em away with your musicianship, and when they're all saying "join us!" you lay down the law and say "nobody here sleeps with anyone else in the band or their acquaintances. PERIOD." and make sure they remember that conversation. If they do, run screaming and leave THEM hanging with their own mess. Sad that it has to happen at all. Ugh.
