I am currently 3 and a half/almost 200 miles away about, from you right now, and I am having THE TIME OF MY LIFE!!! Yes i should be sleeping, cause we have rugby playoffs tomorrow, but beside the point, I would have NEVER met the people that i have...made the wonderful friendships that i have...and have rugby come back into my life, did i mention all the people that i have become great friends with i mean my goodness! I desperately miss all of my friends back at home (including you duh), BUT we all have our priorities and THEY CHANGE! I know you are talking about going to Saginaw Valley (*cough* YUCK...hahah a little war b/w the valleys there...)but that is still VERY close to home! YES i am very thankful that my cousin has a 120 acre farm that i can keep my horses at FOR FREE and for a while let me live there until i got an apartment with some friends...BUT i think your gut will tell you what to do in this situation, don't listen to ANYONE ELSE, sorry i love your parents but you need to make the decision! I was all ready and accepted to go to Wayne State but at the last minute when apps were supposed to be in i decided to apply here too and then i later OBVIOUSLY came to go to school here... but yeah do what you think is best FOR YOU not ANYONE ELSE!!!
Now my views on being a horse trainer:
I know it is very cliche to say that you have the rest of your life to be whatever you want...well...I think that you should go get our accounting certificate, do accounting for a couple years rake in the dough, go buy some horses...train them...actually sell them...give lessons/WHATEVER...get money for that and then go back to doing some more accounting, get MORE MONEY, then take a break again and do horse stuff and then whatever else you want to do with yourself!! you dont just have to be ONE thing...i have a full plate and plan on being a shit load of things, so i think that you are very capable of doing whatever you set your mind to and you MUST have fun with whatever you do, otherwise WHY WASTE YOUR TIME??? there are MANY ways you can get money, you just have to work for it, which you said that you are willing to do...
you are totally fine, you have nothing to worry about, i seriously thought that the decisions that you are talking about now were going to decide my whole life for me and i was just blowing it WAY out of portion...
just like the other thing... GO WITH YOUR GUT! EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!!
The people who love you will stay by your side NO MATTER WHAT, and the rest...well...they can just go crawl in a hole!
