CWU update
hey everyone. so my first week of classes at CWU are done and im still alive. which were all fine. no complaints. i like the intesity of most of teh classes.
Wednesday was Auditions which was probably the worst thing ever...audition wise. Seriously, i was so stressing. The auditions were for three plays;
Charles Dicken's Hard Times
Blankity-Blank (a 50s musical/improv)
and Bocon (a graduate thesis porject centered around Mexican folklore)
we had to dress professionally, do a monologue and 30 seconds of music. I did "Listen to Jesus, Jimmy" from reefer madness: the musical. anyways, if that wasnt stressful enough, the woman directing the musical asked me to match pitch. i nearly shit a brick. I havent done that since my senior year.
anyways, i did get a callback for Bocon and nailed it. I really like the play. Great characters----
so it was to my excitment that the director pulled me aside today and told me I was CAST.
I'M IN A FUCKING PLAY!!!!!!!!!
not only that, but im cast in three different roles. she only descirbed one of them for me (which is totally cool cause i want to be surprsied when i see the cast list monday). the one role she described is---well, basically I'm Death. Mutha-Fuckin DEATH. I have a rifle and dressed up like a skeleton! AND i have a dance fight. lol. imagine that shit...me---dance fighting with the "12 yr old" lead character.
So yeah, i miss you all very much and ill have pics up soon of hte town and random theatre stuff when i get my camera fixed (yup, it decided that working was not as cool as taking a shit on my photo-taking addiction).
im in town right now till sunday morning. so if you want to hang out with brit and i tomorrow, gimme a call tomorrow. i wanna see you guys.
