Susp's Review: BOTCON 2011 ANIMATED SIDESWIPE
Sideswipe was reckless and rowdy in his youth, but is now a grizzled veteran officer of Cybertron Defense Command. His biggest headache is his rookie partner, Cheetor.
Vehicle Mode: Sideswipe is yet another retool of Animated Rodimus. His colour scheme is a nod to his G2 namesake’s: black with clear windows, red engine block and exhaust pipes, green-yellow headlights and spoiler, white taillights, an orange badge, and metallic silver rims.
The white and green markings on Sideswipe’s doors are presumably his initials in Cybertronian. His bow is green and black and his missiles are white.
Robot Mode: Sideswipe’s main colours are now black, white, and red with a red and white Autobot symbol on his chest. His head is red with a metallic silver face, blue eyes, and black accents.
It never ceases to amaze me what a change of colours can do. Whereas Breakdown looks nervous and angry, Sideswipe looks grim and thoughtful.
Overall, Susp Sez: Fans of Animated and G2 (and really, if you’re reading this, it’s likely you’re both) should enjoy Sideswipe. 4.5/5
