this is why i'm tired of moving!
here's a rundown on all the apartments and roommates i've had for the past 10 years in chronological order by my age.
18- lived in 3 dorms. 1st semester freshman year, started in extended housing in frontier hall with Sheena. then was transferred to Comstock hall with a 23 year old grad student from africa. BAD MATCH. hated living there so moved into Becky's suite second semester in Pioneer Hall with Elize.
19- moved into first apartment with friend Mike at 26th and Franklin in the seward neighborhood. Cute, old, four-plex. great management and caretaker. sort of ghetto neighborhood with lots of charm.
20-moved temporarily for a summer into an apartment down the street with then boyfriend Adam and Becky.
21- moved into apartment on 13th and Como with Steph and Becky. HORRIBLE!!!! ceiling leaked and caved in. awful landlady. legal services and health inspector got involved. sketchy "workmen" the landlady brought in to fix stuff was creepy and would hit on me.
22- moved into house off of Como Ave with friend Aaron and a couple of guys he knew, Ben and the douchebag that i'm forgetting his name right now. the d-bag's friends would eat our food, turn the heat up to 80 then leave all the windows open, put bottle caps all over the walls, sleep in our rooms....
23- moved into a one bedroom apartment off of 4th Ave and 5th st with then boyfriend Adam. there was a transvestite that lived across the hall with a guy that was squatting there illegally. transvestite would have lots of fights and throw guys out of the building. squatter roommate would come over and bum cigarettes then got kicked out by the cops.
24- super dramatic break up forced an early move out and into apartment on Adams St. over in nordeast with Erin.
25- broke as hell, i squatted for around a year with then boyfriend Jonathan, his roommates Peter and Dan in their apartment on 15th and Como.
26- moved into a gorgeous duplex in uptown on 24th and Colfax with Laura.
27- moved into a horrible studio by myself on 25th and Colfax. ugh.
28- moved into my new place right off of Lyndale Ave.
