Well, tomorrow morning I will have survived 2 weeks w/out B being home. Over anxiety attacks and feeling much more like myself.

Things seem to be going well fror him too, even though he had a super short week thanks to the holiday and today was a rain out. He can only clock 70hrs anyhow, thanks to this being a DOT driving position... which is kinda lame since he typically works 12 hr+ days, 6 days a week on any other job... at this rate it will take forever to pad our savings up again. He said that they are working on switching him to a different position where he can really work, but we'll just have to wait to see how that pans out. At least he is working.

Next week is our last for school. *YAYAYAYYYAAAAAAAY*. omg, yay. I am just so over this school year. This whole *getup, do lessons, harping at Ean to STFU, do more lessons while telling Ean to LISTEN, make some food, do more lessons* thing is getting old. I would have to look, but I think the last break we took was Easter, and gosh I am burnt out!  We did make magnificent strides this year, so it wasn't all for naught, but dang, is being able to add fractions and spell decisions really worth it? I would much rather go back to KG where we worked on 3 letter words and adding with manipulatives... and made collages about butterflies...

I need to clear out the school room and figure out what we need for next year. I think that I will be buying math books for both of the boys and no longer wing it there. I know that they will both need new spelling books too. meh. I think we will tackle the highschool US History and Environmental Sciences books we have from Oak Meadows next year and I am pretty sure they are  grammar combos, so that is good.

I hope to pare down the *mom instruction* time down to just the morning, but really that depends on Ean being able to stay focused on what he is doing. :\  I really dislike sitting down here for no reason but to keep the kid on track, but we tried giving him self-directed projects this year and they were utter failures... He had better decide to be a forest ranger, as that is the only job I can think of that *oh! there's a squirrel!* will not get him canned.

Eli on the other hand could handle it all alone. I can explain something and *bam* he gets it and will quickly and quietly do the book work needed. All the while Ean is asking me if I remember that one time that we saw the deer in the woods... and since we have seen a million woods deer he has to give me a ton of detail, and all I can say is *This has nothing to do with anything you are doing now. PLEASE FOCUS.*

Aghghhhhh. how he taxes me. At least the school year is almost over...
