(no subject)
so i'm back and everything is great. well being a page was fun and not fun. obviously, having any part in the government isn't always going to be fun. it was very interesting though. i got to meet a few of our senators and do some work for them. but the kids i was w/ made it fun. i mean it wasn't until i had to leave that i started to get really comfortable w/ them and getting to know them. i didn't like the place where i was staying much, but it was alright. i learned how to canoe and that was so much fun for me!
on the way back home i was talking to my dad about all the things that we weren't allowed to do in the chambers during session. i told him that we weren't allowed to eat, chew gum, drink, and have cell fones. i told him though that the lt. govenor had blue winterfresh gum (i saw her chewing it), some of the senators had water (understandable but still), some of them were eating peanuts, and then i heard a cell fone go off. my dad starting laughing and told me to write down everything that we weren't allowed to do. my dad knows senator rand and told me he was gonna make fun of him for all those things.
but omg... ur not suppose to sleep in the chamber either and i started falling asleep BEFORE the session and a news guy took a picture of me! omg.. i dunno if i'm gonna get in trouble! but it happened before the session so maybe i won't.. but i'm a little scared...
