On zippers and hamburgers

One of the biggest mysteries in lolita fashion are the zippers. Why are all zippers so damn crappy? this goes for all brands I've owned.
It's half impossible sometimes to pull the zipper over the skirt seam when wearing the dress.
It doesn't even matter how big you are.
I can somehow understand the the invisible zippers break easily since they're kind of delicate, but Sara was trying on the velvet rose&crown skirt I was selling, and it has a regular non-hidden zipper. We were pulling it up and then SWISH it came apart! and Sara is THIN so as I said, it's not only about straining the zipper more than you should...
We were able to fix it again luckily.
I hate having to ask Joakim for help to put on my dresses. I'm not supposed to need help when the zipper is at the side D:

Anyway, reason I'm whining about this is that I got Alice chess JSK I bought from Mary today, and I couldn't get the zipper up even with the help of Joakim. I solved it by simply putting on the dress while the zipper was up. Thank god for shirring.
Another trick that I use with jumperskirts (that might be helpful for someone who might read this) is to turn the dress around and pull up the zipper where your tummy is, and then turn it back before you pull it all the way.

I just had a hamburger. Hamburgers are my bad habits. If I quit eating hamburgers(with fries...) I'd probably fit a lot more dresses. It's a plan.

I am terribly tired from school and work. I need to pack for tommorrow because I'm going to Umeå with my family to se the rest of my family!
It's not often that I see them all at the same time, I'm happy!
