I think there should be an ANSI standard defining Chocolate Chip Ice Cream as being vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips.

okay, so to clarify, you want all Chocolate Chip Ice Cream to be vanilla ice cream with the aforementioned chocolate chips?

Or is it that you want the naming convention to be the same as "Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream" wherein you've got Mint Ice cream, with chocolate chips...?

You see, that's another example. Mint Chocolate Ice Cream can either be the Green/Minty ice cream with chocolate chips, or it could be Vanilla ice cream with chocolate mint chips. It's madness I tell you.

It's the naming convention. I'm fine with either flavor. But the name should be standardized.
