Tonight at dinner Mum asked Jeffrey and me if we'd get her on MySpace or Facebook.

I said no way in hell to MySpace, but maybe to Facebook.

If this works, I'll have to get to work on that limited profile.

family, 101in1001 entries, facebook

I'm way too lazy to figure out this limited profile thing on Facebook...so I just solve the problem by watching what I post on there.

My mom asked me to help her set up a facebook account, which she never uses. I don't think she's logged in once since we set it up. I don't know why, but I find the fact that she even has a facebook amusing.

Each of my parents has a facebook now, and they each spend more time on there than I do. I think it's been really good for my dad- who is really shy- in particular. My mom likes to tell us when we all get together what she wrote on our walls, as if we can't see each other's pages.

(My brother and sister were quoting 'Glee' back and forth, and my 20 y.o. sister asked 'What are you doing Friday night?' to which my 22 y.o. brother, quoting Puck, said 'Same thing as every Friday. Stand outside the 7-11 looking depressed until someone buys me beer.' My mother was all 'I can see this you know!?!!?' My brother kindly pointed out that while he doesn't particularly like beer, he also doesn't need someone to buy it for him, and hasn't for over a year.)

Long parental/facebook anecdote is long. Sorry.

My livejournal is my internet escape place, though. Everything that I post on facebook is tame, when I do post.
