I have since recovered from the illness. This is good because I had an interview for a paid internship yesterday. Wow, it was yesterday, wasn't it?

I also threw an ad for math tutoring services on Craigslist for kicks because I figured it couldn't hurt and it was near the beginning of the semester. About five minutes someone who was not a spammer or scammer replied, and I called her instead of playing email tag. Despite terrible phone reception, we set an appointment for this morning, which went really well. Hooray math. Hooray money.

After trips to the bank and the post office, I headed home. Woo. On my way off the train I saw someone carrying an orange textbook. What does it say about me that I assumed it was my More Algebra book? Clearly everyone in my world is a mathematician or a writer.

Oh, and Mum and Dad came down here on Saturday. They basically told me the same thing they told me when I went back for Christmas: that I was failing at life and needed to try harder to find a job. Great. I'm not sure what's worse, that they told me that or that they drove two hours to tell me that. At least they took me grocery shopping.
