Blow-down
Was ill all day yesterday which meant I had to miss all three events I'd been planning to attend in the evening (Malediction & two sets of birthday drinks), but it did at least mean I was able to get up in time to watch the blow-down of Edgbaston Shopping Centre on the Hagley Road at 10am this morning. First time I've watched a building demolished, and it was as loud as I'd hoped for, though of course startlingly brief. Didn't take any photos myself as I don't have a decent camera, but there's a good set here. I'd really like to see some aerial footage though - there was a copter poised overhead during it and I'm sure it was recording the event. Not much up on the web so far though!
