I've just come home from the movies, I took my 15 year old nephew to see Drag me to hell and I'm still high from it. See it if you can! From the moment old Mrs Ganush starts tapping her longish, yellow, old nails on Christine Brown's desk you know it's going to be good. It was gross, yucky, eurgh-inducing moments mixed with moments I can't tell you about because my hands covered large parts of my eyes (but I heard the audience go "bleeeuuurgggh and "arrgh". The actors are very good all of them, particularly Alison Lohman (Christine).

And sometimes nothing happened, then you sort of tense up with waiting for the next scary moment. Sam Raimi (director) knows how keep the scary invisible until the moment it pounces (definitely pounces), he plays with shadows and winds and the meanings the sound of the creaky, squeaky gate to your house make. And Christine's journey into something completely alien, mixed with her very ordinary troubles like trying to make her boyfriend's parents like her was very good, all driving her more and more desperate. And the exorcism, oh the exorcism, my legs shook cos I was so tensed up watching it. The film doesn't ask the question "would you die for ever if you could get someone else to do it instead of you" but only because the setting and story is so fantastical. How do you choose whom should die? And the end, oh the end.

Well, I'm coming down now, so tea and an ep of Extras I think. And tomorrow I get to work from home! No commuting, yay!
