Camping trip - July 8-10
I talked to my mom about this summer. As it is, HK isn't an option anymore ^^"" Sorry John~ Maybe next year, hehe~ Something to do w/ timing and my exams being in the way. It's alright though...my mom explained it to me and yeah I sort of get it =.= I'm very disappointed though~
TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING CAMPING:
I still have a chance of going IF an adult is coming along. Before you guys start telling me it's impossible, lemme tell you what my mom told me. Don't start yelling at me about it - my MOM told me this. This is from an ADULT'S point of view.
1. Not a good idea not to tell your parents. If there IS an emergency, you might assume you can take responsibility and basically be too 'afraid' to call for help.
2. Guys are incapable of protecting the girls (LOL!)
3. If assuming Ronnie's parents don't know about the whole no adults thing and that most of the parents haven't given their consent, if the kids get into accidents or something like that, they can get sued/charged whatever you'd like to call it.
4. Unsafe. Just plain unsafe.
5. Wrong to lie to your parents. If they find out after you guys get in trouble, not only may #3 happen depending on whatever emergency you guys get into, those of you whose parents don't know will be in A LOT OF SHIT.
Suggestion: TELL your parents. There might be a chance that one may volunteer to go with you. (If one does, I'd rather give up my place so they can go with you guys. Because now that I think about it, what my mom says makes a lot of sense =.=) It's really risky to leave it up to chance. If you DON'T get hurt/don't get into a bad situation w/o adults around rather than if you DO. Then what will happen?
Suggestion to Ronnie's parents OR whoever's in charge of organizing this thing: Well, make sure Ronnie's parents know everything, obviously. And then make sure each person's parents are well informed of all the details of the trip. That way there are no risks being taken and perhaps SOMEONE'S parents might volunteer to go with you guys. As long as even 1 adult is coming along, that's better than none.
Opinions are welcome.
