Some shopping to get my mind off of things
Technically speaking, I should not be spending money, but technically speaking I only used the left over change I had sitting around my apartment to buy a few things! I scrounged up $20 and went to World Market. They have the most amazing couch that I desperately want if I had $500 to spend and could sell my old couch. The couch is a Futon as well, but it also has storage underneath! *need* I just picked up some "tree free" magazine holders in brown and green with white polka dots.
My car went in to get the bumper all fixed up (previously mentioned, I had two hit and runs on my car while I was not even in it), so Andy took me to work and the next day I walked back over to pick up my car - my curls even stayed in the hot sun and wind! - and it looks like nothing ever even happened to it! I'm just out $250 from the repairs...
I swear I need to start making things to sell.... bloomers, petticoats anyone? T____T;
Switching subjects. In the back of my mind I have always wanted Holga cameras, but never got around to buying one. Lately I want one even more, so I think that will be my current "saving for" item. I haven't used a film camera in so long that I really miss what you can do while you develop the film. I want to be able to get different effects with digital, but I really have no idea what I'm doing in photoshop.. Anyone know any good tutorials web sites for photography in photoshop?
Thank you everyone for being so nice and comforting on my last entry. I can't say much has changed financially, but one very important thing did change. Andy and I went through plenty of discussions the past three weeks, but last Saturday we had a discussion where we both cried, hugged, cried some more, and then kissed and made up. I helped him figure a lot of things out about himself that he had never realized, but in the back of his mind they were somehow bothering him. I should be a psychiatrist (!not really), because I figured him all out even though he had little to no answers to my questions. I'm incredibly good at observing situations, people, analyzing things... is there a job for that?
We're both very happy. I'm looking forward to this weekend, don't know what we will do but I'm sure we will enjoy whatever we do together. It should be nice and warm outside, too!
