Molly, Ed, and their precocious daughter Jenna Lee aka Jen (who took out Abel's store windows once). It took Ed six years to woo Molly. Jenna is 5. Ed also recently got appendicitis, and Simon saved his life.
I do believe I created Abigail as well. She's around Abel's age, a widower, originally from Perihelion, a planet held under siege by the Alliance during the war. Hal, her first husband, was originally from Shadow, and was injured by unknown weapons. Abigail collected Hal and settled them both on Avery with what little she had left, and stayed with him as his health deteriorated and eventually, he died.
Pete was Paraiso's former doctor who passed on prior to Serenity's first arrival. It's his clinic that Simon uses.
Lizzie's saloon is where Danial Schluter, Caribe's captain, got liqueured up before taking a shot at Abel/Mal.
Jill is Andy and Roger Anderson's sister. It's Roger Anderson who still roams Avery's countryside, too shell shocked to live anywhere except in the wild, and it's Andy's letters that originally helped convince Avery's citizens Mal was the man for the job permanently.
Mmmm, I think that's all the original characters I created... Yikes! :-D
