Title: Never Runs Smooth
Summary: Chapter 6. There's a reason why Mal doesn't believe in luck. Can Inara and the rest of the crew prove the Captain wrong? Or does Fate truly have a thing against him? This is the sixth installment of my angst contribution to the delightful Sushi-verse.

I posted this comment in Mal/Inara by accident instead of here, so, I'm reposting it, just cuz! *G*

Great to see another part to this! Yay! Very nicely done heee...

Fellatio is something I've noticed has been absent from a lot of Mal/Inara fic, or maybe just the ones I read (which *has* to be all of them, the way I scour the net *G*) It was nice to see some *smirk*
seriously though, Inara would certainly be skilled and it's a wonderful part of making love that I'm sure they'd enjoy... you also wrote it very well, and with a wicked humour that suited Inara perfectly *G*

Simon's reactions were great too, to both the sex and the chess! I love Mal playing Chess with River, and her tryin' to read him heee!

Great job. I'm really enjoying this story, keep it coming!

I love that you liked it enough to post comments twice! Thank you *very* much! Truthfully, I think my summary scares off a lot of readers, so it's extra appreciated! *hugs*

She isn't the only one! Still loving this alot...and still on my Art of War by Sun Tzu thinking. Really well done with explaining how strategy works, and why Mal so often fails in his missions, and succeeds in the war. Tactical failure can lead to strategic victory....

More please!

Oh yeah. You're dead on about the Art of War thing. Sun Tzu, not Sun Yu. :-D

*squees again* I *love* that this really struck you, as it's totally what I intended. After all, it's a bit of a paradox for Mal to be such a war hero, and yet have his plans totally fall apart a lot of times.

His tactics fail when he isn't willing to risk his crew. The moment he is, look at what he can accomplish. The way he used the Reavers to attack the Alliance was an absolute stroke of genius, in my mind. Classic "Let's quit looking at what we don't have, and concentrate on what we do" Mal.

Thanks again for the comments and insight, ceslas! :-D
