The plan for next semester.
From Jan 9th until sometime in August I will be working for Pratt and Whitney doing Compression System Aerodynamics in East Hartford, CT. :)
Hehe. I had to turn down the GE AE job... With stippened considered they both paid about the same amount each month, Boston was appealing but East Hartford isn't as expensive, I'd rent a room from my boyfriend's parents... I'd get to see my boyfriend more than two days in a row... and Compression System Aerodynamics is a little cooler than Materials personally.
So that's the official update. Getting paid pretty well too :) It's kinda comforting for the future. I did some calculations and if I were to work a full 8 months at the rate I'm being offered I'd get about $27K (i won't be working a full eight months and with taxes and living expenses included plus a car it'll be a quite a bit lower) but! if I'd get that much before graduation.. imagine what I could get per year with another 3 semesters of schooling under my belt. I'm excited.
Alright. That's probably the last update on the job situation for a while.. that's the biggest thing happening in my life at the moment beyond schoolwork which means it's the only thing i get to update about...
Lala. 2 weeks until spring break (but i'm not coming home..sorry.. too expensive but still a few days off from classes)!!
