don't be stupid. tanks need love. i was cleaning the big tank on the window side &i almost hurled. there was a large WAD of algae hanging off the filter (which was dripping with grossness too).. it also had NO AIR.
the other two tanks next to it needed air.
and the puffer needed a water change severely.. not to mention the salinity was at 1.027?? wtf people.
ok first years aren't taking care of that stuff yet..
&second years should fucking know better.
i spent TWO HOURS on just those three tanks. &i didn't even come close to doing everything that needed to be done.
if there's a nasty note on your tank- learn from it.
the piranah is dead because people weren't watching the nitrates & nitrites &ammonia & PH....... come on people. we did it WEEKLY last year.
speaking of last year- bleach in a water barrel sound familiar??
