Took other daughter out eagle hunting
and boy did we have a good day of it. I think we must have seen almost 10 bald eagles, one we got to watch up close for awhile-it was so cool. He was our first of the morning and we were down on rocks by the river watching him and we saw him lift his tail-so now when I think of the great emblem of our country in my mind he's taking a crap...
We saw over 10 hawks, mostly red tailed but I think one was a red shouldered. We saw 2 Kestrels (locally called Sparrowhawks) and wow were they bright. Up close we saw examples of the two types of vultures we have locally and tons up in the sky. Then to round it all out a juvinile Pergigine falcon. Wow, was it a delightful morning.
