New Mermaid Painting - "The Clamshell Mermaid"

I have'nt posted in a while, feels like I have had a lot going on. However I have to say in the last week something has come over me and I feel very focused at the moment, which feels great.
Okay so this new mermaid painting, this one really had a life of its own, I felt guided to paint it a certain way that really when beyond technique or logic.
I listened to music the whole time I painted this one, which is something I dont always do. Its one of the largest size canvases I have painted in a long while it is 18" x 24". Painting the water took forever and I started it about 3 weeks ago. I think all up it took about more than 24hours in total of painting. Mostly due to the amount of paint layers.
