Again, not technically part of the
Library Challenge, but I'm counting it.

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been doing literature reviews while I wait for the thermometer people to send me code, so that I can actually do some work. The one I've been mainly doing involves a considerable amount of delving into obscure medical journals. Wonderful though it undoubtedly is, the Bodleian has failed to provide some of these. Now I could have got an interlibrary loan from the BL, but since I had a meeting in Tavistock House this morning, it seemed silly not to just wander up the road and look at them in person. And, you know, it would be churlish to pass up the chance to get a BL reader's pass and feel all clever and academicy ;)
Sadly, neither of the references turned out to have any information that I hadn't already got from other sources, but it was at least comforting to know that I've been comprehensive. I was also unable to fully appreciate the library due to the growing migraine... But my reader's card is valid for 3 years, and I have meetings in Tavistock pretty regularly, so I'm sure I can find an excuse to go back.
