Three posts in a day shocker! (This is the last one, I promise)
Just got back from seeing Kit and the Widow, who are as funny as ever, if not more so. I quite literally skipped halfway up St John's St on my way back.
What can I say? If you haven't heard of them, think of a modern version of Flanders and Swann, but less, um, clean. Not heard of them? You philistine. Tom Lehrer? Mitch Benn? Anyway, they sing satirical songs. Interspersed with stand-up. Jaw-achingly funny. If you ever have the chance to see them, you must. (Mum and Dad - that means you. They'll be in Edinburgh.)
Also, it was incredible good value. Apparently, if you buy in cash in person with a student card on the day of the performance, you pay £8.50 and get the best seat available (which was very good, and I think was meant to be either £16.50 or £18.50). I shall have to remember this for the future.
