Yesterday we went to a production of Steel Magnolias at the Flat Rock Playhouse (in Flat Rock, North Carolina - N.C.'s state theater).
It was great fun and the production was good (particularly in the last act, where they seemed to "jell"). We went with Scott and Rich, and I think we all enjoyed it.
Before the matinee we had brunch at Seasons, a local restaurant, and a good one. The buffet was delicious and featured things you don't always see at those - a chickpea and eggplant casserole, for example, as well as a mint and lemon couscous. I am told the rubarb and strawberry tart was delicious. (It was certainly beautiful.)
And I'm very much looking forward to our visit to Williamsburg, Virginia, starting on Saturday!
