lol - I want to plant tomatoes and onions and basil and watermelon. Maybe other things, but that's my start. I'm not even interested in growing flowers, I just want to grow food!

Welcome to the world of gardening. Listen to "You bet your garden" on WHYY and check out the website. Roundup does a great job but is not good for the environment. There are natural products that will get rid of those pesky weeds.

Wow, this is so cool! I'm coming back to this after seeing the photo in a recent entry with things newly planted, and I'm really enjoying reading about your gardening adventures. I have never encountered a rooftop garden like this before, so I'm fascinated!

lol - thank you for that! I have no idea what I am doing.

The green roof is the size of a small park. It is planted over a parking garage. There is a cement pond on it, of all things.
