So, I am one 4 hour lecture away from finishing my second week of classes. WOW! Time is really flying.
Things have been a bit hectic around here as of late. The internet in my room stopped working last week - apparently I surpassed the upload/download limit. I have no idea how that happened, mainly because I haven't been downloading anything. My neighbor suggested that "vielleicht hast du zu viel geskyped", but I dont't think that's it either. I'm really hoping that there isn't something wrong with my computer - I guess we'll see on the 1st when I get my internet back. There's also been a problem with the pipes in my apartment, apparently the person living below us has a leak in their ceiling. This means that there were workers in our apartment for the last few days and we weren't allowed to use the bathroom or shower. You can imagine the problems with this situation. That's kind of fixed now though (at least we're allowed to use the water in the bathroom again) but there's still dust and parts all over the floor. There have also been complications with ordering my books for class... but hopefully that will work itself out by next week. Oh, and to top it all off, the weather has been absolutely horrible in Dortmund this past week - rain rain rain.
But time for good news. My classes next monday and tuesday are cancelled, so I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Munich! We'll spend 2 days in Munich, 1 day in Füssen (to see Schloss Neuschwanstein), and 1 day in Salzburg, Austria (where The Sound of Music takes place). I can't wait. I've been wanting to see Neuschwanstein for SOOO long, it's going to be incredible. If anyone doesn't know, it's a gorgeous castle built in the alps in the 19th century. It's the real-life Disney castle.
