I have been bone idle today. The only things I have done all day is to unload and load the dishwasher. Lucy spent all day at a neighbours barbecue party - so I didn't even have to bother with food.
I'm aching with just sitting in the chair reading and watching TV. I enjoyed the Ozzy Osborne special though.

I should have been in the garden, tidying it up a bit. I mean, it's awfully overgrown and out of control, but it has weeds growing in cracks between the flags and cobbles. I'll be ashamed tomorrow because a nice chap is coming over to give an estimate for the wall I want to build to replace the fence.
I wanted to get this wall built last spring. It will get rid of the mountain of stone and rubble that is in the garden from when the two cottages were knocked into one. The wall should be built in the local drystone way. I had a quote for £3000 which was much more than I had anticipated, so it didn't get built. I came to the conclusion that I'll have to build it myself. Some of the stone is too heavy for me to lift alone. It also takes a ton of stone for each yard of wall - so that's quite a bit for me to move alone. Though I did fill a skip with 4 tons of rubble once. I ended up with a rotator cuff injury that I'd rather not repeat.
With this in mind, I went to a meeting of the Drystone wallers association last weekend and joined them. I'll go to training days and learn how to build one that doesn't fall down. The outcome of course, was this chap, a master waller, is going to come and give me a quote tomorrow. It will be great if I can afford for him to build the wall next spring. I can simply sort the stone and labour for him and I'll get a cracking good wall.
It would have been better if I could have been bothered to tidy the garden up a bit so he can see that the job really isn't too difficult. Alas, I'm too lazy!

As an afternote, I released the giant wasp today. It was actually much bigger than an inch. At least I didn't kill it.

Saw Ruby Wax on TV again tonight. She wasn't quite as out of control but she does still look poorly, as though she doesn't quite know what's going on. She definitly has a huge, visible neck lump. Ant and Dec (presenters) were so sweet and patient with her too, at one point each of them had hold of her hands as though she was a child. My efforts to try and find any news about her health only show that she does a tremendous amount of work for the cancer charities. This is really bugging me now.
