The two African snails that Lucy keeps as pets had hundreds of eggs recently. We destroyed the second batch by freezing them before they hatched. The first lot hatched and despite selling dozens to her multitude of friends, we still have around four dozen growing merrily larger.
Today we moved her goldfish to a new, bigger tank. Blow me! If there aren't hundreds of goldfish eggs stuck to every surface of the old tank! I didn't notice them yesterday. I'm torn between just washing out the old tank to use it as a new home for some snails or leaving the fish eggs to see if they hatch.
I guess we are letting the fish eggs hatch.
Anyone for goldfish? they make lovely pets. :)
