Wall-E was easily the best film of 2008. Far better than the Dark Knight.

i didn't like the dark knight so much either, it was about an hour too long and it seems like every big franchise has to pretend to be all dark and serious and weighty now and it's just boring to watch a really long movie with no sense of irony or humour.
i have asked santa for some wall-e merchandise for christmas. so if i'm good i get to totally subvert the message of the film by purchasing crap i don't need, and tossing the wrapping straight in the landfill. christmas!!

i haven't seen wall-e yet. i will have to make sure i am feeling emotionally stable first - films about sad little robots are absolutely guaranteed to make me cry like a tiny tiny child.
