Eating my crow-flavored words
I remember a few years ago when I said something like "these books suck. I could do better" about a certain author, maybe two.
Ha. Ha. Ha. I still stand by that statement. But...I freely admit it is harder than it looks. *headdesk*
Revisions. Edits. Drunkenly hanging off window ledges sobbing "I'm a talentless hack."
Maybe people would take me more seriously if I didn't live in a single-level ranch.
There's improvement. I know that. But getting over the hump of mediocrity to good... that's slow, steady, mind-melting work.
Also, my hair hates me.
