My life's update
It's been a while since I've done a full, major update on events going on in my life.
First of all...I've been let go at Continental Teves. Not because of anything I've done, but because they've entered the slow times, and I'm one of ten people that Machining is letting go. (My uncle had to let twenty people go from Assembly last week.) However, my uncle talked to the Fridays representative, and I've now got a job on the Weekend Shift. Basically, I work only weekends, but they're twelve-hour shifts, not eight-hour. So I'll be earning the same amount of money, but I get multiple days off, yaaaaaay!!!! I can start practicing my driving skills, yaaaaaaay!!! I'll still be able to save up for a car, yaaaaaaaay!!!! I'll still be able to afford Dragon*Con, yaaaaaaaaay!!!!
Second of all...I'm still going to be going to NYC, just not for as long as I'd hoped/planned. So I'm researching airline/bus tickets, and I'm thinking that my best bet is to take the bus. It's longer, but it's also a whole hell of a lot cheaper. I went to a website that had airline ticket specials, and they were all still about $200. However, I can get a one-way bus ticket for less than $100. Wheeeeeee!!!
I'll probably hold off on seeing Wicked, simply so I don't go totally broke. Because Broadway tickets are really really expensive. Hopefully, I'll be able to see it this Christmas, if I end up going back with them again. ^_^
Third of all...I'm still happy with my Jessehobbit, and this whole thing might mean that I'll actually get to see him more, which is much happiness.
Fourth of all...my dad told me that I don't get to go to DC with Jesse unless they meet him first. Much yayness. Must prepare Jesse for fatherly interrogation. Must have him tell little white lies about the two of us. *innocent*
Fifth of all...I might, in the future, be trying to get a job in Boone. It wouldn't be too near in the future, but it's definitely something that I want to try. Right now, though, I need to concentrate on being a squirrel and hoarding money. Both for DC and also for myself.
Sixth of all...the goobers got in trouble with their dad. They got maple syrup in the carpet. A long line of it. Of course, they both pointed fingers at one another. ("Kaity did."-"Erin had some, too!"-"Yeah, but it was mainly you!") You get the picture.
Seventh of all...Jesse left me another cheesysweet song-thing on my voicemail again. I heart my kitty, oh so much, heehee... Wonderful sweet hobbit...I heart my hobbit, oh so much...
