Summary: Redrush wanted Tony and Calleigh to meet, humor. I tried. ;)

A/N: No beta cept spell check.

Tony stepped off the elevator and took a quick survey of his surroundings. Sleek metallic surfaces and bright Miami lights were a far cry from the shag carpeting and hand-me-down desks they were used to at NCIS. He pulled at the buttons of his flashy Hawaiian shirt, allowing some air to relieve his overheated body.

Directly in front of the elevators sat the office receptionist who gave a vague smile in his direction, but quickly returned to the conversation with the grey haired, slightly irritated, man in front of her.

“Lady, I don’t care how busy he is-“

Tony quickly sidled up to Gibbs, and threw a casual arm around his bosses shoulder. He flashed brilliant white at the girl, and turned to his boss. Who looked like he was going to kill him.

He quickly slid his arm from his Gibbs shoulder, and turned back to the girl. He leaned heavily on the flat, metallic surface, turning on the DiNozzo charm, smile still held firmly in place. Brown hair, brown eyes, and plain to see dimples. Her skin was surprisingly pale for Miami, but she was definitely cute. This he could work with.

Her flashy gold plated name tag declared her to be “Trisha.”

“Hi, Trisha,” he said. He tipped his sunglasses down so that she could get a look at his blue eyes. (One girl had referred to them as his baby blues. He’d liked that.)

She flushed a pretty pink and smiled shyly.

“We just need five minutes of his time.”

She started to interrupt, but he held a hand up in a plea to be heard, and continued. “I know, I know. He is a busy man. And you are just doing your job. But we really need to get to the bottom of this case, and we hear he’s the man to talk to.”

She glanced over at the phone, and he knew he was winning. He sensed Gibbs’ eye roll from beside him, but chose to ignore it.

“Is there anyway we can talk to him? Or even a member of his team? We just need a few simple questions answered, honestly,” he said, finishing by tugging his sunglasses completely off, and offering her a wink.

Her eyes darted between Tony and the phone.

1…2…3…

“Trisha” picked up the phone and spoke quietly to someone.

He smirked at Gibbs, who eye rolled in plain site this time.

“One of Lieutenant Caine’s team members will be with you shortly,” Sara said. “You can wait in chairs, just down the hall to your left.”

Gibbs was already moving in that direction and Tony sped up his pace to fall in step behind him.

“You see, Boss. All it takes is a little finesse.”

“DiNozzo?”

“Yeah, Boss?”

“Shut up.”

Tony slung an arm over the back of the row of chairs, sunglasses tucked around his neck. He inwardly grinned at the thought that McGee was left behind to help Abby with some computer hacking. McGee’s annoyance had been substantial when they left, which unsurprising considering that Tony was repeatedly sending pictures of palm trees to his cell phone.

The clack of heels in the hall had them both on their feet. Long blonde hair, white tank, and creased black slacks rounded the corner.

“Oh, my…” His heart race increased substantially. Green eyes surveyed them both, looking equally displeased. This was not a woman who liked to have her work interrupted. She smiled, but it was obviously forced.

“Gentlemen, I’m Calleigh Dusquesne. Lieutenant Caine is out in the field and asked for me to meet with you,” she said, and offered a hand.

Tony slid closer, enveloping her smaller hand between both of his. Pink nailpolish, he noted. Very sexy. “Agent Tony DiNozzo, NCIS.”

A blonde eyebrow arched as he continued to hold her hand. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips. “I’d like to shake the hand of your colleague, Agent DiNozzo.”

He chuckled. “Tony’ll do just fine.”

She cocked her head to the side, blonde hair swaying with the movment. “Feel free to call me Officer Dusquesne.”

Gibbs laughed outright at that. He stepped forward and shook her hand. “I’m Special Agent Gibbs. My colleague and I are here because we think you’ve had an encounter with a man we’re pursuing.”

She nodded. “If you’ll follow me.”

“Gladly,” Tony drawled, earning a smack on the head from Gibbs. A small price to pay for true love.

The pictures were strewn out across the table, some taped up on the brightly lit board behind them. Gibbs was deeply involved in conversation with some guy named Eric.

He was bored, and began searching out something to do with his eyes.

Down the hall, on his left, Calleigh was bent over a microscope, checking some sort of list beside her. He looked back over at Gibbs, but his boss was about as aware of him as the sun was of the moon. Which, he hoped, was pretty unaware.

He slipped out the door, side stepping a tall, well dressed, red head, who cast him a curious glance. Tony acknowledged him with a nod, but stayed on path. Making his way to her door, he tapped lightly, and she acknowledged him before returning to her microscope.

“Doesn’t matter what I do, trouble always knocks on my door,” she said.

He slid a hand along the desk, and then rapped his fingers on the surface, before stopping at her side. “Me? I’m harmless.”

She smirked and tuned back to her list, adding another check.

“I was thinking-“

“Did you need an aspirin?” she asked, looking up at him and batting her eyelashes innocently.

His brow puckered with a frown. “Ha. I’m only in Miami for one more night. I really haven’t seen much of Miami--” he began, and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Agent DiNozzo,” she said and hand held up to stop him.

He smiled again. “Tony.”

She shook her head, and rolled her eyes. “Tony. As much as I appreciate this little seduction scene you have going on…”

He wiggled his eyebrows at her, which actually resulted in a laugh.

“I’m involved with someone.”

Tony shrugged. “I won’t tell if you don’t.”

She smirked, and turned to face him fully. “OK. How can I put this so that you’ll understand it?”

“We could talk about it over drinks,” he said helpfully.

Calleigh’s face lit up, and she slapped him on the chest with the back of her hand. “Oh, I know. No, I will not go out with you.”

Tony leaned over and peaked in her microscope. He leaned back and looked at her. Blonde tousled hair, intelligent green eyes. He liked her.

“Guess I’ll have to have a look around myself,” he said, acknowledging defeat. He walked back around the table as if leaving.

She smiled. “If I wasn’t involved...” she began.

He grinned and jogged back to her, taking her hand in his, sliding her hand in between his.

“I still wouldn’t date you,” she said, smiling brightly, and subsequently dropping his hand.

He laughed, surprising himself. He really, really liked her. “A woman who knows her own heart.”

She promptly curtsied, surprisingly deftly for wearing a lab coat. “Happily taken, but I still know what I like.”

The door opened, and the red head stuck his head in. “Everything alright in here?”

Calleigh’s eyes softened and he knew he’d found the taker. “Just fine, Horatio. Agent DiNozzo was just about to go find his boss.”

Tony nodded at her, and she winked in return. “It’s been a pleasure.”

Gibbs was down the hall, eyes searching for him.

Back to work it was.
