Just sending out a little prayer for all those in the path of the hurricane. I've never lived through a cat 5, but I was in Hugo, 70 miles inland and it was horrific - cannot imagine what this is like. I used to live in Biloxi for a short time at the AF base and I know how close and low that land lays. Hwy 90 is underwater. Anyone who's been down there knows that that means that much of Biloxi and Pascagoula and those areas are as well. New Orleans lies about 10 feet below sea level. Jim Cantore is in Gulfport, Ms which is about 30 miles above sea level and they are watching the cars in the parking lot and dumpsters float and the water begin to seep into the first floor past the sandbags. I hope the Superdome holds out for all those poor folks that could not leave the city.
