... like an atheist's point of view on the continuing outrage of child abuse in the Catholic Church. Or the impact of technology on the lives of disabled people. Or even the new Doctor.
But first ... SHOES!!
Every year I permit myself to buy just one pair of pretty, girly, slightly impractical summer shoes. Last year these were they:
which were very sweet and quite comfortable, but prolonged wear left me with a blister where the edge of the top part rubbed my foot. I'll probably still wear them a bit, and I was even tempted to buy them again in a different colour this year.
Until I saw these:
Yes, those ARE silver sequined sneakers. With turquoise soles. (There was a pair in red, but I thought that was a bit over the top ;D). I've been pressing my nose against the shop window looking at these and going should-I-shouldn't-I for about a month, and today I went in and tried on the last pair in my size. Clearly it was meant to be.
