Acting Captain
Coming from a military family I’ve always had a healthy appreciation for the chain of command. Captain Archer’s grasp of it however seems tenuous at best.
As fourth in command of Enterprise I knew I might be called upon to take command of the ship every now and then. I never expected it to be quite so often. I’m truly amazed at the number of times the Captain not only leaves the ship, but feels the need to take both Subcommander T’Pol and Commander Tucker along with him. Is it really necessary for our three most senior officers to go in every away mission?
On the other hand, there is a part of me that relishes the opportunity to sit in the captain’s chair. I’m confident I’ll have my own command one day. All the sooner if Captain Archer insists on giving me this much practice ...
