i have now resolved to write my resolutions
do those words relate??? i thought i was being clever. i dunno. whatever.
anywaaaaaay. every year the highlight of my dec 26-jan 3 is: writing my resolutions!! yay!! here goes:
ok these have a general theme. and that theme IS: routine, unvaried, ordinary. I want to remember 2006 as the year i didnt really do anything special. "why???" you ask......well, people seem to constantly be looking for fun and excitement and are not happy without "fun". I want to appreciate the fun AND unfun, but mostly the unfun. so this is THEEEE year for unexcitement. omg!! yay!!
1)procrastinate less. so i started out by not even coming up with resolutions til late-ish, but its ok.
actually.....you know what?? screw it. this is the year to procrastinate as muchhhh as i want and not care!! yay!! procrastination = computer/tv/SLEEP and these activities are OK by me!!
2)ok i just picked up this randommmm habit of not letting go of letters on the keyboard for a kind of thisssssss effect. i think im gonna stop that. it makes me feeeel really dumb on spellcheck
3)knit more....knitting is an uneventful, slow activity that fits perrrrfectly into the theme of my year. also, since i knitted zero last year, anything will count as fulfilling my resolution. yay!!!
4)read more news. waaaaait. no news is good news. this makes it more exciting and in my year 2006, bad. so no news for me.
5)wear safety goggles more often. eye saftey is often neglected. eyes are soooo important AAAAND according to a study in the July issue of Archives of Ophthalmology, there are TWO MILLION eye injuries per year. and i resolve to NOT be one of them.
6)OMG!!!!! i just realized something!!! i use alot of "!!!!!" and "YAY". ok....giving that up. new years is about annoying resolutions that are supposed to make you reeeeeeeeally happy if you accomplish it, but since nobody ever does, it just makes you feel bad. i most def. need one of those. that is this resolution.
7)dont go to any high school parties for next new years. that was THE ONE resolution i kept from last year so here i go again with it!!
