Welcome, Survivors

... you wouldn't be my first choice, but all my 'first choices' have immunity

...  scares me keeping someone in this game that I know absolutely nothing about

... because it is a convenient choice

... this vote is pretty clear to me

... you've been a detriment to your tribe

and then there were 9.... )

I would like to say, being considered a detriment to my tribe hurts. Even though I have had some rough times, I do try to help when I can and also....two people got scores in the 1700's on that last immunity challenge. At least I made an effort to get a decent score. This game is more social than I realized and my life cuts into the time I can spend being social. I do not regret for one minute not being around here because I am not on the internet as much in this time in my life as I was when I originally applied.

And I hope Jamie kicks butt in the next challenge and the negative scroll isn't too bad like the last few have been. I know she can overcome a little obstacle!

It's ok Jamie. Thanks for being such a great tribe mate. You know I am cheering you on!

Don't worry about it, Diana. You haven't officially played an LJ game until someone's tried to come up something hurtful to say to you. It's the reason a lot of people have quit playing and a reason it's so hard to find players anymore. For a lot of players, these games are the equivalent of the school yard sandbox, and they live to kick that sand in the other kids' faces.

I think it's funny you say that because I told Jamie yesterday on AIM that I felt like the uncool kid in school. You can say a lot of things about me, I know I wasn't around much but I didn't realize how much the social game would matter. I didn't realize how much my life has changed since the last round to make it not as feasible for me.

Thank you

No, they left when people started censoring things and everything turned into Sunshine & Rainbows, instead of like actual reality shows. That, and Facebook/Twitter/Whatevers became more popular. And, well, they just grew up.

I don't think things need to be sunshine and rainbows but if you haven't made any effort at all to get to know me, you shouldn't be able to say anything about my effort to get to know you.

As far as being a detriment...if you don't know a person you shouldn't make judgements about them. Say I haven't been around enough, but don't say I am a detriment because obviously I do have some good qualities as evidenced by my performance in the immunity challenge. At least I didn't just draw some lines without caring about my score.

Also I would like to say most of my annoyance today comes from the fact that I messaged at least 4 people to talk about this weeks vote. Only two actually gave me honest answers. Others said "I have to talk to my tribe, I'll get back to you" or never answered me at all. I appreciate honesty, so I didn't mind being voted out or being told I was, I disliked people who couldn't even honestly say "yes I'm voting for you."

"It's the reason a lot of people have quit playing and a reason it's so hard to find players anymore."

Different people have left for different reasons. I didn't say it was the only reason. My statement is based on discussions I've had with people about why they don't play the game. Many of them, yes, have grown up, but I've had more people tell me that they don't play because of how mean the games became over time. You may have heard otherwise, in which case your statement holds truth as well as mine does.
