This is a very serious subject and I think we would all readily agree that our privacy both online and personally is of utmost importance..... but I think what many forget is that we all have different gauges and needs for such privacy....... and that we are ENTITLED to any and all needs for privacy without any need to justify how we feel about it!!
NONE OF US HAVE ANY RIGHTS' TO JUDGE ANOTHER'S NEED OR DESIRE FOR PRIVACY ON ANY LEVEL!!
I can NOT and would not impose my personal need or intrepretation of need for privacy upon another and certainly would not expect anyone else to do the same upon me.
Whether you have greater or lesser needs for privacy is ENTIRELY up to you and I have no rights to intrepret nor even comment on those needs or desires... I can only RESPECT any needs you may have... and I EXPECT the same of anyone else towards me
Some may say that when we enter the "public realm" of the internet we somehow surrender or forfeit such rights to our own privacy.... BULLSHIT!!
I don't think most of us have any idea how devastating an intrusion within our need or desire for privacy can be.... just how deeply it can and will affect us.. until we experience it for ourselves...................
Respect is so simple... why is it such a difficult concept for people to understand and even more difficult for some to PRACTICE??? Is it so difficult to THINK about what you do or say and how it might affect someone else? If you do not have all the imformation... how in the hell can someone comment about something of which they know NOTHING???
No I have not personally been violated.. however I have witnessed how devastating it can be.......
I will respect and defend your right to privacy to the end!!
I have seen how the MOB MENTALITY works... how it can fuel itself to a frenzy.. without any logic or respect or any real sense of justice or humanity.. only it's own view of justice and right and wrong... it can take almost anything and twist it and present it as PROOF it is right.. when it is in fact the complete opposite
I have seen people I would have thought were otherwise good and intelligent people... suddenly become so drawn into the mob and whether intentionally or not BECOME part of the mob and further purpetuate the mob.. perhaps it is the human weakness and need for acceptance that drives this or some primal defense to be assimilated into the swarm rather than attacked by it.... I don't know.. I only know it can be the darkest and ugliest side of humanity............
PLEASE people.. be RESPECTFUL of others as you would have them be respectful of you!!
