Piposdoll event
Okay so NOW Pipos is having a special skintone event just when I thought I said NO! to new dolls in a while since I'm still waiting my PW order from last summer. I kinda knew my decision wouldn't hold out very long since I love dreaming about new bjd's, especially anthro dolls. And I've said many times before that special skintones are my weakness and if there's an event I probably won't be able to resist...
I have been waiting this event for like three or four years now? Last time I missed the event and felt so bad about it... I'm a bit sad they don't have Cranberry Lavender skin in this event since THAT'S a resin colour I really want! And the event is only for their YoSD and tiny sized dolls but I've been wanting a Pipos Charlotte for many years so maybe now I just have to order her? :P
I'm just not so sure about the resin colours. Pipos special skintones used to be the most beautiful and vibrant resin colours out there but these... Just seem so washed out?
These are the three colours I'm considering. But the mint colour here isn't what I remember Pipos mint skin used to be? I've seen one pipos mint tiny in real life and oh boy that was a delicious colour! And since I'm already disappointed with PW Emerald green skin based on owner pics I've seen I can't expect anything vibrant from doll companies anymore. Even if I end up ordering one of these skintones I have to be prepared to be a bit disappointed when I finally see the doll after months of waiting. All of these colours are nice but not the pipos colours in my memories. I think I need to try and seek more owner pics before I do any decisions. I might regret if I don't order? Luckily I have until the end of January to decide.
