Box opening!
Dollzone was having a purple skin event last November and I couldn't resist; I had to order a doll from them! But since none of their human dolls appealed to me enough I made the decision to order Miss Kitty in purple skin even though I already have a grey Miss Kitty! But... but... Purple skin! *_* To be honest, I didn't even know what their purple skin looked like. I tried to google it but only found a few images of dz luoluo in purple skin. So I made my order and hoped the resin wouldn't be too similar to grey skin!
Only 4,5 months later (I was expecting a much longer wait) my new Miss Kitty arrived:
Otherwise she's fine but she was covered with greasy sticky mould release all over her body. I wasn't too upset about this since I was expecting her to arrive this way since one person at DoA got her purple miss kitty a few weeks earlier than me and she told her miss kitty was dirty like this.
Usually I start trying out different wigs and eyes for a new doll but it wasn't possible this time. I just had to take her apart and wash her right away. It wasn't that big of a deal since I would have cleaned her anyway before starting the face-up but the greasyness of the resin was a bit gross. And to think how much these dolls cost it would be nice if the company would at least clean them before sending them out. But all is taken care of already and she's clean so not a big deal.
She's super cute of course!
Her resin colour is a bit hard to capture on camera since the colour seems to change depending on the light. To be honest I was a bit disappointed at first since she was so light and not as pink as I was hoping but the more I looked at her the more I loved her.
My two Miss Kitties! They will be twins of course. I'm sure I will have fun photographing these two together.
Seeing them side by side shows the difference in their resin colours. I'm relieved they're not too alike!

I'm making her a wig at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to start her face-up soon too.
Do you think the new Kitty will be even cuter than Dali? Will it be possible? Which resin colour do you prefer?
I'm not sure yet, purple is my favourite colour but this one is so light... I'm hoping with pink blush she'll look super cute and not so pale. We shall see!
