Hot Hands Knitted Glove Add-on

Feb 25, 2011 16:03

So while freezing my mitts off in Portland, Or. I decided to knit up some gloves and do something that a friend had posted on ravelry.com that they were looking for/needing. So here it is.

Hot Hands Pocket Add-on

So your hands are cold even in your freshly knitted gloves/mittens. Here is an add on to what ever knitted glove you have.

Pick up 14 stitches on your glove.
Knit across these stitches.
Slip 1, purl 1, mk1, purl 10, mk1, purl 2.
Slip 1, knit 15.
Slip 1, purl 1, mk1, purl 12, mk1, purl 2.
Slip 1, knit 17.
Slip 1, purl 1, mk1, purl 14, mk1, purl 2.
Slip 1, knit 19.
Slip 1, Knit right side and slip 1, purl wrong side until you have 24 rows of stockinette.
Now begin Knit 1 Purl 1 rib while still Slipping one at the beginning of a row.
Do this for 6 rows.

Seam up the sides into your glove and enjoy your now warmer gloves.
