Mechanics of the Surrogateverse!

This is where the mechanics of the Surrogateverse will be explained. Again, any and all help is greatly appreciated. <3

Basics on the World

Character Openings

Click here to see who the taken characters are. It has a few little blurbs on the teams and such as well, so you can use this as a bit of a handy guide to see who's taken and who's not. :3

At the very moment, more bad guys would be extremely appriciated. Be sure to read some of the other stories to get an idea of where the one you choose may stand in this world!

Surrogate Trainers

These trainers are one of the many aspects of this world that keep it thriving. Each trainer was selected at birth, and their parents were forced to sign a contract so that they could use their bodies indefinitely. The paperwork was to get past the government officials for the most part, and thus ensured that contract termination was impossible...or would lead to some very dire consequences.

The Trainers themselves, almost all of them being taken, do have different stands on the project. You may be surprised to know that many of these children do know about the project, and are deathly against it. Some have lost their memories once again in order to make them perfect, and there are even a few of the project who are for it for some reason or another.

These trainers are usually riddled with stitches and scars from past opperations, using them to create clones. Clones that only know the basics of battle and keep the economy running. Considering the state of it so long ago, it can appear to be a godsend. To most of the trainers, it's inhumane.

Geechisu's Side

The Rebellion

Surprisingly, there is a light of hope in all of this matter. Much like many people against the project itself, they thought the project was inhumane and needed to be brought down for good. Unlike many of these people, the leader of this side knew what she was doing. She knew how to organize, and be rather sneaky about it too. She worked rather closely with Geechisu; still technically does, though despite the close work she's the leader of a growing rebellion. Her name? Caitlin.

Now, not many people know about Caitlin's true nature other than the ones who work for her or with her. Some of the prominent members of the rebels besides herself are the Striaton City Trio of Cilan, Chili, and Cress. They work closely with her to get the information out into the other regions, Chili going through Kanto and Johto, and Cilan going through Hoenn and Sinnoh. Also closely working with her is the ever elusive Red, who many haven't seen in years. They help the Surrogates in whatever way they can.

Even as such, a lot of the rebels don't even know who Caitlin is. A rare few do, but they are asked to keep Caitlin's identity as the leader a secret. She would rather not be found out after all; Geechisu's distrusting as is.

The Public

Surrogate Gym Leaders

Link explaining who the Leaders that are already surrogates are can be found here!

Now, you might be asking; how did the Gym Leaders get roped into actually being Surrogates? Well the answer's quite simple; most of them either became surrogates for directly trying to harm the project, those who actively tried to help the Surrogates go into hiding, or those that Geechisu wanted to put back into line. Some were even signed up by their parents at birth. But why the much later Surrogate numbers? It's simple; Geechisu doesn't like playing with old toys. The Protagonist and Rivals all have set numbers, and they're fairly young at that in looks. A rather literal case of Older Than They Appear.

Most of the Gym Leaders are still up for debate on their side where the Project stands. Vyc's post explains the situation of most of the Gym Leaders rather fully. Each Gym Leader's story will adequately explain their views on the Project, and a lot of other stuff as well. Remember, it's as Vyc said; the Gym Leaders don't have anymore than three Surrogates at the VERY most. Less is always good, and is usually the case for the rebel Gym Leaders.

Battle Frontiers

If anything else needs to be added on, let me know! I'll be linking up a few useful links in a moment. <3
