On Saturday I was bored and feeling depressed, so I made the mistake of reactivating my OK Cupid account. After about 10 minutes I was ready bored with OKC, but OKC has a stupid policy where you must wait a period of one week to deactivate your account if you have just reactivated it. OKC has no idea of the bullshit women go through on that site

actually to answer what you said... I DO see your point and it's a totally valid POV...

I'm just saying that lower on the scale of male idiocy and rudeness is when they PRETEND they're really interested or might want to hook up IRL, but then things devolve and really they'll be happy with phone sex or cyber... and they try to sneak you into it...

Which is where I say at least he gets points for revealing his intent right off the bat (no pun intended) so that you can go EWW before wasting any further time on him.

I agree. You've seen some of the "emails" I've received, even in reply to "strictly platonic" ads! I mean, seriously... yes, I get that there are creeps out there, and I can't control who reads or responds to my stuff. But you'd think that people wouldn't be such creeps! (like the guy who wanted me to "edit spelling and grammar" in a blurb that sounded like it was straight out of PENTHOUSE magazine... um, NO!)
