The Chaos Has Begun
I'm fucking disgusted right now. I'm watching the news, and "anti-Olympic protesters" are smashing store windows and pushing over newspaper boxes. What the fuck? Yeah, destroying private and public property is a good way of getting your point across! I am just so fucking mad. Their reasons against the Olympics are valid ones--we have so much poverty and social problems in Vancouver, yet instead of spending money on these important issues, we're spending a ridiculous amount of money on a two week party. However, how the hell is destroying property--which costs money to fix--going to help your cause? All it will do is make people mad. Fuck you. There was also footage of police beating some of these "protesters", and yeah, they totally deserve it. I hope they got tasered too. What a bunch of fucking hooligans.
Yeah, I think the Olympics is a waste of money, but the reason why I dislike them so much is because I can't cope with large crowds, especially on transit (many bus routes are being shut down or messed up in some manner), and having to spend two hours instead of 20 minutes commuting because there are thousands of extra people freaks me out. But these fucking protesters are adding to the crowds, and also being violent. I really hope an innocent person doesn't get hurt because of these fucking morons!
