On Wednesday September 27th, I had two tests: physics and chemistry. I felt as if I did well on both tests, and was able to answer all the questions. For both tests, I had more than enough time, and in fact, had enough time to do the tests twice, with time left over. So because I had so much time and I'm a little bit OCD, I went over every question, and caught a mistake on each test.

I haven't gotten my physics test back, and am very anxious to see my results. Unless I really fucked up, I'm sure I did reasonably well, as I studied a lot, but I want to know how well. But, I did get my chemistry test back yesterday. As my teacher handed me back my test, she whispered, "Nice mark." I got 100% (the class average was 74%). To be honest, I'm not all that surprised, as there were only a couple of questions on the test that I wasn't sure about while I was writing it, and after the test, I checked my notes and found out that I did them correctly. One of the questions was about accuracy and precision, and as I was writing the test, I was worried that I had mixed up the definitions, but thankfully, I hadn't. The other question that I wasn't sure about was on determining uncertainty. I still can't really do it, but, that was something that I had read over in my notes, and good thing I had.

While 100% sounds pretty impressive, it's not a good indication of how well I will do in the course, as the first test was on very basic stuff. Now we're finally getting into more complex things, such as naming organic molecules, that will actually require me to study to get a good mark. At least I have some room for mistakes on my next test, as I did ridiculously well on the first one, as well as on the first take-home assignment (I got 23.5/24 - I lost half a mark due to a sig fig error).

I also had a math test on Tuesday October 3rd. I don't think I did that well, but at least I was able to answer every question, instead of just staring blankly at the page, not even understanding all the symbols and words.

I should stop fucking around on LJ and start studying.
